Founder & CEO, B-Team Consulting

I build software that fits the way a business actually works.

I'm a technology and operations leader. I spent a decade building the operations behind fast-growing companies, and now I run B-Team Consulting, where we turn complex business workflows into systems teams can use and own. After hours I build local-first desktop apps, self-hosted tools, and the occasional game mod.

About

Most software problems are operations problems in disguise.

So I start with how the work should flow: who does what, where it stalls, and what that costs. Only then do I decide how much software the job needs. It is usually less than people expect.

I learned that on the operations side. At Staymobile I built the day-to-day operation as the company grew from $2 million to $50 million: a hundred retail locations, procedures for 150 people across five states, and the ERP system underneath it all. At ServiceCentral I ran the programs and the professional services business for SMB and enterprise clients.

Now my job is turning complex business workflows into systems that teams can actually use, and that they own when the engagement is over. That means documentation, a clean handover, and no dependency on me to keep the lights on.

  • Technology strategy

The right level of software for the job, and no more. Start with the business, not a platform or a license.

  • Platform delivery

One accountable team from problem to production, with working results early and decisions close to the work.

  • Operations

Systems shaped around real workflows and real people, so the software serves the day-to-day instead of fighting it.

Experience

  1. 2021 – Present

    Founder & CEO B-Team Consulting

B-Team is a small, senior team that designs and builds software around how a business actually runs. We don't start with a platform or a methodology to sell. We start with the workflow, show working results early, and hand over systems the client owns.

    • Founded the firm and lead it day to day, setting strategy while staying close to the work from discovery through launch.
    • Replace patchwork systems and ill-fitting ERPs with software shaped around the operation, moved over in controlled stages.
    • Design and deliver business-critical platforms, internal tools and customer-facing products.
    • Build integrations and workflow automation with clear ownership, failure handling and monitoring, so fewer processes depend on one person remembering the next step.
    • Put AI to work in production, with the workflow, evaluation and safeguards it needs to be useful.
    • Run the business itself: client relationships, contracts with partners and vendors, budgets and forecasts, and marketing.

Projects

Things I build because I want them to exist. Most keep their data on your own machine.

  1. desk-agent

Lets an AI agent drive real desktop apps through the operating system's accessibility API instead of guessing from screenshots. Works with anything that exposes an accessibility tree, including browsers, Office and Electron apps, and runs as an MCP server locally or as a tray app on another PC.
